Participants who would like to make a presentation at the congress must submit abstract(s) for consideration by the Scientific Program Committee.
The committee will endeavor to schedule abstracts according to authors’ preferences but reserves the right to decide on the final form of presentation.
Abstract submissions are welcome for both oral and poster presentation at the 5th APPES in Seoul, Korea.

  1. Abstract(s) must be written in English and must be submitted electronically (on-line).
  2. The abstract, without subheadings, should be in the following form : Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  3. The content of the abstract is solely the responsibility of the author, and any published articles will not be accepted.
  4. Cite references in numeric order in parentheses according to first mention in the text (Arial font size 10).
  5. The body of the abstract should be no longer than 200 words. Text beyond the limits will be truncated.
  6. Please be careful typing words and proofread before you submit your abstract. Abstract will appear exactly as submitted. Errors, misspellings, incorrect hyphenation, faint typing will appear in the published abstract.
  7. Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the scientific committee and assigned for oral/poster presentation.
Abstract(s) must be submitted through the congress website :
http: //www.appes2008seoul.org. Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract. Only presenting author should submit abstract, and indicate their preferred type of presentation on the online abstract submission page. Abstract(s) sent by mail or fax will not be processed by the Secretariat and will not be forwarded to the Scientific Program Committee for review.

Presenting and corresponding author will receive confirmation e-mail after your abstract(s) has been submitted. If there is no confirmation (within 7 days) after abstract submission, please contact the Secretariat. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee. The information regarding acceptance will be sent to presenting and corresponding authors via e-mail. Abstracts accepted for presentation (either oral or poster) will appear in the abstract book. In order for abstracts to be published, the presenting author MUST pre-register for the congress.
Without registration and payment of the registration fees by July 31, 2008, authors cannot be scheduled in the scientific program nor will appear in the abstract book.
Revised abstracts must be received by July 15, 2008. Only the abstracts submitted online may be revised by using the web option by referring to their email address and the password . Withdrawals or changes will not be possible after July 15, 2008.
